An extraordinarily detailed and vivid scene: Jörmungandr, the colossal Midgard Serpent of Nordic mythology, erupts from the depths of the ocean on a night of violent storm. His monstrous body is covered by thick scales, each reflecting the irregular glows of the lightning that cuts the blackened sky. The scales are a deep green, stained by shades of gold and iridescent blue, as if they were part of the ocean itself. Water droplets flow through his scaly skin, while the sinuous movements of his colossal body make the waves rise like mountains around him. His eyes, huge and incandescent like embers, are fixed on a small dark wooden ship, which desperately swings in the revolting waters. The creature's irises have a bright amber tone, radiating a mixture of intelligence and malevolence that holds any look. The snake's mouth, ajar, reveals curved and dripping fangs, each as long as an adult man, exhaling a thin fog of poison that mixes with the moist and salty air. On the deck of the ship, the crew fight against despair. Their simple, soaked and worn clothes adhere to the body, showing the physical effort they make to maintain balance. Their faces express pure dread: some scream uselessly against the roar of the wind and the waves, others remain paralyzed, their eyes wide fixed on the monstrous snake. One of the sailors falls to his knees, his hands covering his face, while another, firmly holding a rope, looks at the sky as if begging the gods for a miracle. The water around Jörmungandr boils and stirs with his presence, generating swirls and waves that threaten to swallow the ship at any time. The sky above is a chaos of dark clouds that curl up like living smoke, torn by rays that illuminate the scene with almost supernatural flashes. The sound is deafening: thunder booms, the roar of the waves mixes with the screams of the crew, and the deep and guttural growl of the snake echoes like the omen of an inevitable calamity. The atmosphere is impregnated with terror, power and the feeling that the world is on the edge of an abyss.
