Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, yet I still see her, indescribable beauty that makes me weep, She is made of hyper detailed & varied textures, visualized sounds, bits of memories like dust particles in sunlight, visible for micro seconds, I want to collect them to piece together an image, scene or message, but they can t be captured, they float in cosmic unison & disappear unaware of my presence, she is porcelain & rusted metal, peeling paint, smooth copper, the sound of a mountain creek, the dynamism of water in motion, like silk moire with sublime designs & iridescent reflections, shapeshifters that slip through my fingers if I dare grasp. she is fall colors, indigo blue, leaves imprinted with intricate veins, tiny masterpieces, part of a greater masterpiece that is now embers, charred edges that disintegrate upon touch, reminders of stories- not read, told, finished, or written, remnants of well- hidden, blood sweat & tears, forged by survival instincts, she is soft white fluffy beach sand that feels like heaven between my toes, sandpaper, delicate flower petals, dandelions, driftwood, cracked leather, a scratched itch, the perfect bite, laughter, singing & wailing, she is a visibly retreating echo, so all that s left is the reverberation of my voice, I hold my breath hoping for a sound, but the palpable silence in the loneliest space & I realize I have nothing left to say anymore
